Description
We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to provide front-line technical support for end users. This contract position focuses on resolving everyday desktop and account-related issues, supporting user onboarding activities, and helping maintain a reliable technology environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with Windows-based systems, managing user access, and delivering responsive service with a detail-oriented approach.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical assistance for hardware, software, and access-related issues reported by employees
Set up new user accounts, configure system access, and prepare workstations for incoming staff
Support and troubleshoot devices running Microsoft Windows 11 to ensure smooth day-to-day operation
Maintain and update user profiles, permissions, and group access within Active Directory
Respond to service requests in a timely manner and document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions
Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps and escalate more complex issues when needed
Assist with workstation deployment, configuration changes, and general desktop support tasks
Requirements
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11 in a structured work environment
Working knowledge of Active Directory, including account administration and access updates
Experience setting up new users, including account creation and workstation preparation
Ability to diagnose and resolve common desktop, login, and application issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and effectively
Organized approach to managing support requests and documenting completed work
