Summary

JOB TITLE: Director / Vice President – Cybersecurity
LOCATION: Remote
DURATION: Contract


Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for the organisation''s cybersecurity programme.
Assess the current security posture and develop a roadmap for improving cyber resilience.
Establish and oversee enterprise security governance, policies, standards, and best practices.
Advise executive leadership on cybersecurity risks, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements.
Lead enterprise risk assessments and define mitigation strategies.
Oversee security architecture, identity and access management, data protection, cloud security, and infrastructure security initiatives.
Develop and mature incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Partner with IT, infrastructure, engineering, and business leaders to integrate security into technology and business initiatives.
Lead security awareness and organisational security culture programmes.
Manage relationships with external security vendors, auditors, and regulatory bodies where required.
Mentor and guide internal security teams while establishing long-term cybersecurity capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in senior cybersecurity leadership roles (Director, VP, or CISO).
Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise cybersecurity strategies.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance.
Experience leading enterprise security transformation initiatives.
Expertise across cloud security, network security, application security, identity and access management, and data protection.
Experience managing cyber risk, security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience presenting cybersecurity strategy and risk to executive leadership and boards.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience serving as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or in a comparable executive security leadership role.
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, and Zero Trust architecture.
Experience leading security teams through organisational growth and digital transformation.
