Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Role Overview

• Join a fast-growing, AI-driven company focused on improving access to financial products, risk decisioning, and customer operations through machine learning and real-time data systems


• Serve as a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, owning the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered solutions within enterprise customer environments


• Work directly with financial institutions, platforms, and operations teams to deploy, customize, and scale AI systems in production


• Operate at the intersection of backend engineering, data, and customer-facing problem solving, translating complex business needs into scalable technical solutions


• Play a critical role in ensuring AI products deliver measurable outcomes such as improved underwriting accuracy, fraud detection, and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-driven applications and workflows tailored to customer-specific financial use cases


• Integrate internal platforms with external systems including core banking systems, payment processors, and third-party APIs


• Own the full lifecycle of deployments-from problem scoping and prototyping to production rollout and optimization


• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business and regulatory constraints


• Ensure production systems meet strict SLAs for reliability, latency, and data accuracy


• Implement monitoring, logging, and analytics to support data-driven iteration and continuous improvement


• Partner with product and engineering teams to influence roadmap based on real-world customer feedback and edge cases


• Navigate complex data environments, including structured and unstructured financial datasets, to drive meaningful insights

Required Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting roles


• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar backend languages


• Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and cloud platforms


• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time data processing


• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, client-facing environments


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact
