IT Field Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT Field Operations Manager to lead technology operations across a multi-site healthcare environment. This individual will serve as the primary IT leader supporting clinical and administrative teams, ensuring exceptional technology service delivery, infrastructure reliability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with outstanding relationship-building skills and is comfortable acting as both a technical lead and trusted business partner. This role will oversee day-to-day IT operations, coordinate technology initiatives, manage escalations, and collaborate with centralized IT teams to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a senior IT professional ready to step into a management role or an experienced IT manager looking to expand their impact within a growing healthcare organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between local business stakeholders and corporate IT teams.
  • Lead day-to-day technology operations across multiple locations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and executive-level support to clinical and administrative staff.
  • Manage and resolve escalated technical issues while ensuring timely communication and follow-through.
  • Coordinate and lead infrastructure, security, and operational technology projects.
  • Support technology initiatives related to clinic expansions, relocations, and new site implementations.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement and technology innovation.
  • Monitor service levels, incident trends, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee local vendors and third-party technology providers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, privacy requirements, and healthcare regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support processes.
  • Mentor and guide support staff while fostering a culture of accountability and customer service.
  • Participate in after-hours support and critical incident response when required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT support, infrastructure, or operations.
  • Experience serving as a technical lead, team lead, supervisor, or escalation resource.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, clinical, hospital, physician practice, dental, laboratory, or regulated industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
  • Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated environments.
  • Microsoft, VMware, or related infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience with automation and scripting technologies.
