ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Associate Scientist with a Biotechnology company. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is Onsite position. Summary: This lab-based role is with the Protein Therapeutics (PT) group, a multidisciplinary team with broad capabilities in protein engineering, expression, purification, and characterization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry and hands-on experience with protein purification, especially involving biologic molecules, using various chromatography techniques in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
Responsibilities: - Support pipeline and/or Tech Dev molecules delivery by participating in the protein purification and analytics process
- Record results in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements: - Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
- Experience with protein purification, particularly biologic molecules
- Experience with a variety of chromatography techniques, liquid chromatography instrumentation (FPLC) and software (Unicorn, ChromLab)
- Experience with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc) and analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip)
Desired skills: - Knowledge of lab automation and high throughput purification techniques
- Ability to multi-task, work flexibly and efficiently in a cross-functional environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay range: Up to $28.85 per Hour
