- Determines computing system requirements
- Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
- Prepare operating instructions
- Design and develop autonomous services, desktop applications, scripts, and utility programs. End product is special use and customized software
Basic Qualifications- BS degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C# or Java
- Experience with system integration, message handling, and data exchange protocols
- Familiarity with API inputs and outputs
- Understanding of markup languages (e.g., XML, YAML, HTML)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and agile methodologies
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and projects and to work independently
- 1-year+ professional software development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in one or more of the following scripting languages: Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Effective written and oral communication skills are also required to work with all levels of staff and managers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay Range:Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
