Job Description
An early-stage fintech startup is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role will focus on building and scaling customer-facing applications, internal platforms, and backend services that support core business operations.
The ideal candidate has strong experience across the full stack, particularly with React and Node.js, and brings a quality-first mindset to software development. This position is well suited for an engineer who enjoys both building new features and ensuring applications are thoroughly tested, reliable, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications and platform features.
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React and backend services using Node.js.
- Develop and execute automated testing strategies across web applications.
- Create and maintain end-to-end test suites using Playwright and Selenium.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Experience building and supporting production web applications.
- Significant experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
- Experience writing and maintaining end-to-end, integration, and regression tests.
- Experience working with REST APIs and modern web architectures.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience working in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to application security and compliance best practices.
