Position Title: APIGEE Developer
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Farmers Branch, TX, and Phoenix, AZ
Locations by preference: 1. Most Preferred – Strongsville, OH
2. Second Preferred – Pittsburgh, PA 3. Third Preferred – Dallas, TX
Ability to work remote: Possible discussion around hybrid, but 5 days onsite starting May, and/or if converted to FTE.
Acceptable time zone(s): EST, some flexibility can be discussed if located in a hub outside of EST.
Days of the week: M-F 40 hours
Working Hours: M-F 8-5 EST
OT: Yes, the possibility or schedule will be flexed

Summary:
Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made.
Job Responsibilities:
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, and resolve customer problems.
• Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.
• Inform customers or other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.
• Direct software programming and development of documentation.
Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing, and delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues. Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.

Leads in the development of the most complex new and emerging technologies and selects appropriate platforms, integrates, and configures solutions. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions.

• Resolves defects and facilitate troubleshooting of integration issues.

• Perform continuous improvement of efficiency, productivity, and usage.
• Implement methods to capture system SLA, logs and data quality metrics Provides a systematic analysis on the most complex client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered. Oversees the quality of complex project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards and processes.
The Technology Engineer should possess technical hands-on expertise with Apigee Administration, including:
Experience managing all components related to Apigee Edge, such as Management/UI Servers, Message Processor/Router nodes, Cassandra/Zookeeper rings & Postgres analytic databases. Apigee Edge software updates and fresh install
Must Have Skills:
• API Connect
• Apigee
• DataPower
• Knowledge of Dev portals
• CICD pipeline experience
Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proven ability to learn and rapidly adapt to new challenges. Good interaction with developers, managers, and team members to coordinate job tasks, and strong commitment to work.
Education:
• Bachelor’s or will look at equivalent years of experience
