Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in building scalable data pipelines, data architecture, and advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will lead data engineering initiatives, design robust data systems, and ensure efficient data processing across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data processing
Architect and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and data platforms
Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems
Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Optimize performance of data systems and pipelines
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams
Implement data security and compliance best practices
Monitor and troubleshoot production data issues
Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance
Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers
Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
10+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
Strong proficiency in SQL and database systems
Expertise in ETL/ELT tools and frameworks
Hands-on experience with Python, Scala, or Java
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Kafka
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with distributed systems and parallel processing
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with real-time data streaming and processing
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Understanding of machine learning data pipelines

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
Effective communication with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
