Job Description

The organization is seeking a qualified Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM OTBI & BI Publisher (BIP) Developer to support the development and delivery of reporting solutions across Oracle Cloud ERP and HCM. The consultant will work closely with MTC business stakeholders, functional SMEs, and IT teams to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and deliver reporting solutions using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher (BIP).

The consultant will also be responsible for providing knowledge transfer and training to business users on OTBI self-service reporting and to IT staff on BI Publisher report development and maintenance.

Objectives

Enable timely, accurate, and reliable reporting to support operational, management, compliance, and business requirements by:

Discussing and documenting business requirements with MTC SMEs and business stakeholders.
Designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality OTBI and BI Publisher reports and dashboards.
Supporting reporting requirements across Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM.
Training business users to develop and maintain OTBI reports and analyses.
Training IT staff to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot BI Publisher reports.
Scope of Work

The consultant will:

Conduct functional requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and SMEs.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
Prepare report designs and obtain approvals from business stakeholders.
Determine whether OTBI or BI Publisher is the appropriate reporting solution based on business requirements, data volume, performance, formatting, and reporting frequency.
Design and develop OTBI reports, dashboards, analyses, prompts, filters, calculated columns, and drill-down capabilities.
Develop custom BI Publisher reports, including data models, SQL queries, templates, layouts, bursting, and scheduling.
Develop reporting solutions across Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM modules.
Perform report testing, validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Validate report outputs against source data and business requirements.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate report logic and outputs.
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and reporting issues.
Optimize OTBI and BIP reports for performance and scalability.
Provide technical and functional documentation.
Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions, walkthroughs, and training sessions.
Train business users on OTBI self-service reporting.
Train IT staff on BI Publisher development and maintenance.
Support reporting changes resulting from Oracle Fusion quarterly updates.

Required Technical Qualifications
Oracle OTBI Expertise

Strong hands-on experience designing and developing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports, analyses, and dashboards, including:

OTBI subject areas.
Advanced filters and prompts.
Calculated columns and measures.
Drill-down and hierarchical reporting.
Dashboards and interactive analyses.
OTBI report performance optimization.
Self-service reporting capabilities.
BI Publisher (BIP) Development

Proven experience developing and delivering Oracle BI Publisher reports, including:

Data models.
XML/SQL-based data templates.
Complex SQL queries.
RTF, Excel, and PDF layouts.
Bursting configurations.
Report scheduling.
Parameterized reports.
Report troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Oracle Fusion ERP & HCM Functional Knowledge

Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and HCM modules, with strong understanding of underlying data structures, subject areas, and reporting requirements.
