Java Developer Microservices & Cloud (AWS/EKS) - 68016
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer based in Austin, TX (Hybrid) to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, enterprise-grade applications. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in designing high-availability systems and working with modern cloud-native technologies.
In this role, you will design and develop highly available, distributed, and scalable enterprise systems using Java and Spring Boot. You will work extensively with microservices architecture and leverage technologies such as Redis, MongoDB, and Kafka to build high-throughput, resilient applications. The position requires hands-on experience with AWS deployments, including scaling applications and managing EKS clusters. You will also be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing code repositories (Git, PR processes), and ensuring smooth deployments.
A key part of your role will involve performance tuning and optimization, including JVM tuning, memory profiling, heap analysis, and resolving deadlocks. You will build and support customer-facing web applications with a strong understanding of HTTP protocols, load balancing, and CDN concepts. Additionally, you will utilize tools like Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting production systems and ensure adherence to best practices in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of strong Java development experience with deep expertise in Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native application development. You should have hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG and a solid understanding of MVC architectures. Strong troubleshooting skills and real-world deployment experience are essential.
