Job Description


We are seeking a RTC Voice Access and Security Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in voice infrastructure, carrier/transport, and SIP access technologies and a proven ability to drive voice access modernization through engineering documentation, program communication, and C-level ready materials.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide program guidance and develop engineering-driven program timelines in partnership with the PMO.

  • Develop ROM/SOW quotes for equipment placement and licensing.

  • Create project documentation including BOMs, cost estimates, and equipment placement requests.

  • Directly support business-initiated projects and communicate program status and issues to leadership.

  • Deliver clear communications and presentation materials for senior leadership and C-level stakeholders.

  • Partner with technical teams while producing engineering documentation for fast-moving programs.

  • Provide local software and hardware support for complex configurations: Session Border Controllers, Security Services, E911, SIP and Session Management, LAN/WAN, VoIP, Toll Free Engineering, with integrations to Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys.

  • Perform SIT testing, document results, and develop scripts, MOPs, and low-level designs for SBC, Security Services, E911, and related integrations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of telecommunications experience.

  • Strong knowledge of session border controllers and SIP trunking at a carrier level, including Ribbon 7k and SIP/TDM trunking.

  • Proficiency with SIP, RTP/RTCP, ISDN, H.323, H.248, MGoogle Cloud Platform, and codecs.

  • Experience with QoS configurations, jitter analysis, QoS tuning, and bandwidth analysis.

  • 3-5 years of LAN/WAN networking experience with knowledge of switches and routers.

  • Extensive understanding of call flows, system architecture, design principles, and implementation practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to learn and document new technologies and procedures.

  • Experience producing structured program updates using PowerPoint and Visio; strong written and oral communication.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and participate in cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.

  • BA or BS in Telecommunications, Data Communications, or Computer Science.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience supporting Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys integrations within large enterprise environments.

  • Program communication experience for senior leadership, including C-level audiences.
