Lead Windows System Administrator

As a Lead Windows System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of Windows infrastructure services, Active Directory, and cloud services. Your expertise will ensure the availability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems, enabling our staff to carry out their duties effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgrading of Windows infrastructure services, Active Directory, and cloud services.
• Ensure system availability and security by managing virtualization operating systems, configuration management systems, and email systems.
• Complete technical service requests and project tasks, including account/security configuration, cloud service integration, server and storage provisioning, and software management.
• Perform complex problem resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure system performance, security, and system access align with business needs.
• Administer M365 services, Entra ID, InTune, and Azure Architecture, ensuring they are properly configured and maintained.
• Collaborate with other IT staff and Business Analysts to align IT systems with organizational business processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience installing, configuring, maintaining, patching, and upgrading Windows infrastructure services, Active Directory, virtualization operating systems, cloud services, configuration management systems, and email systems to ensure system availability and security.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience completing technical service requests and project tasks involving account/security configuration, cloud service integration, server and storage provisioning, and software management, ensuring staff have the tools and access needed to perform their duties.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing complex problem resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, and working with other IT staff and Business Analysts to ensure performance, security, and system access align with business needs.
• Minimum of three (5) years hands-on experience administering M365 services, Entra ID, InTune, and Azure Architecture.

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing and developing IT teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with other cloud services and IT management tools is a plus.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Mobility and Security Administrator Associate, or similar are desirable.
