IBM ODM Developer

Location: Remote
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Possibility of Extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Developer to join our team on a remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining business rule applications using IBM ODM. This role will work closely with business and technical teams to transform business policies into automated decision services that support enterprise applications and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business rule applications using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
• Create and manage rule projects, decision tables, decision trees, and business rule flows.
• Develop and integrate ODM decision services with enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST, and SOAP APIs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into rule-based solutions.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and optimize business rules for performance and scalability.
• Deploy and manage decision services within Decision Center and Rule Execution Server (RES) environments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and Agile development practices.
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards, governance policies, and best practices for rule management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
• Strong development experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
• Experience working with Decision Center, Rule Designer, and Rule Execution Server (RES).
• Strong understanding of business rules management and decision automation.
• Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP web services.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot and enterprise application integration.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Google Spanner.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments.
• Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ABRD (Agile Business Rule Development) methodology.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and deployment.
• Prior experience supporting large-scale enterprise decision management solutions.
• IBM ODM certifications are a plus.
