Summary

Role: Technical Project Manager

Hybrid - 1 day a week but may change in the coming months- Quincy, MA

Type: long term contract-8 months.

All candidate must be eligible for onsite interviews and OK with 37.5 work weeks, NO OT

Technical PM and someone who has managed large scale/enterprise wide IT Project, strong professionalism, and risk/change management. Agile and Waterfall is a great add on too!

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage complex IT initiatives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver high-visibility projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Review technical and architectural documentation and coordinate with technical teams to ensure scalable and resilient solutions.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple project teams and technology resources.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and objectives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and maintain release schedules.
  • Assist in defining project objectives and implementation strategies.
  • Deliver projects within established timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.
  • Develop work breakdown structures, project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Lead project governance activities, including quality management, risk management, change management, and testing coordination.
  • Monitor scope and manage change control processes.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, status reports, and executive dashboards.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and develop remediation plans when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise technology implementations.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and shifting timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting or delivering AI-related initiatives is a plus.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, leadership teams, end users, project teams, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams within a matrixed environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience performing risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 8+ years of project management experience delivering technology projects from initiation through implementation.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise IT projects.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, requirements, status reports, and related artifacts.
  • Proficiency with JIRA or similar project management tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio,
