Description We're seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator to support a complex, hybrid on-prem environment with a strong emphasis on VDI, automation, and image management. This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and ideal for someone who can independently own systems, streamline workflows, and translate instructional or operational needs into reliable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments at a senior level
- Manage VMware Horizon (Omnissa) VDI infrastructure and image lifecycle
- Design and maintain advanced Group Policy configurations
- Build and enhance PowerShell automation for imaging, patching, and GPO workflows
- Support on-prem backend systems; collaborate with networking as needed
- Convert faculty/instructional requirements into deployable images and configurations
- Work within ITSM/ticketing workflows and maintain strong documentation standards
- Operate independently with clear communication and proactive problem-solving
Requirements Required Technical Skills
- Senior-level Windows Server / Systems Administration
- VMware Horizon (Omnissa) VDI administration
- Deep Active Directory + Group Policy design/management
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience in hybrid/on-prem infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems
- Ability to translate user needs into technical configurations
