Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite per Week)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Techno-Functional Developer to support financial consolidation, reporting, and enterprise integrations.

This role requires deep expertise in HFM rule files, VBScript development, financial reporting, Smart View automation, and system integrations. The candidate must be local to the Dallas/Plano area and available onsite three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

HFM Application Development & Maintenance

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) applications.

• Develop and optimize HFM Rule Files (VBScript-based).

• Configure and maintain metadata, data forms, and consolidation logic.

• Ensure accurate and efficient financial consolidation and reporting processes.

Reporting & Smart View

• Create and update Hyperion Financial Reports (HFR) using Web Reporting Studio.

• Develop advanced Oracle Smart View solutions, including:

  • Function-based Smart View reporting

  • VB Macro-based automation

• Provide reporting solutions aligned with finance and accounting requirements.

Integration & Data Management

• Integrate HFM with enterprise systems such as:

  • ERP systems

  • Essbase

  • Planning

  • Data warehouses

• Support:

  • Outbound integrations to Planning and Essbase

  • Inbound integrations from SAP, text files, FDMEE, and Jython scripts

• Utilize scripting and data management tools for seamless integration.

Testing & Support

• Conduct unit testing, system testing, and support UAT.

• Provide ongoing production support and troubleshooting.

• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Jira, ServiceNow, Agile methodology).

• Provide training and knowledge transfer to end users.

Top 3 Required Skills

1. Strong hands-on experience in Oracle HFM development, including Rule Files (VBScript), HFR reporting, and Smart View automation.

2. Experience integrating HFM with ERP, Essbase, Planning, SAP, FDMEE, and Jython-based integrations.

3. Deep understanding of financial consolidation and reporting processes.

Preferred Skills

• FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service)

• EPBCS (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service)

• OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud)

• Experience with Agile methodologies

Required Qualifications

• 10-15 years of overall experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience with On-Prem Oracle HFM

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering, Finance, IT, or related field

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Availability during core business hours with high ownership mindset
