Key Responsibilities

Architectural & Technical Leadership

• Serve as the PathNet subject matter expert across all lab disciplines (Core Lab, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Anatomic Pathology)
• Own design standards, build governance, and workflow integrity across PathNet domains
• Lead root cause analysis for high-risk incidents and recurring lab issues
• Design and validate solutions for complex instrument and interface integrations
• Ensure PathNet configurations align with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of Lab Solution Consultants within the managed services model
• Provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and knowledge transfer
• Serve as the escalation point for all advanced PathNet issues
• Establish documentation, runbooks, and support standards for lab application support

Clinical & Operational Partnership

• Partner with Lab Directors, Supervisors, and Clinical Informatics on workflow optimization
• Support lab initiatives including instrument implementations, test catalog changes, and outreach expansion
• Participate in governance and change review boards for lab-related system changes

Integration & Ecosystem Expertise

• Deep understanding of PathNet interfaces with:
• Cloverleaf / interface engines
• Instrument middleware and analyzers
• PowerChart, FirstNet, PharmNet, and downstream systems
• Troubleshoot result routing, auto-verification, specimen workflows, and instrument data flow

PathNet Expertise

Knowledge across:

• Specimen management and collection workflows
• Test build, result reporting, and auto-verification rules
• Microbiology workflows and culture management
• Blood Bank / Transfusion workflows
• Anatomic Pathology case management
