Job Description

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support and administration for a complex enterprise PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System (HRMS) environment.

This role will support PeopleSoft infrastructure, related web applications, and reporting systems by ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of enterprise HR platforms. The consultant will assist with system administration, troubleshooting, integration configuration, environment management, and technical support across multiple platforms.


Key Responsibilities

System Design, Troubleshooting & Environment Management

  • Maintain, monitor, and support PeopleSoft infrastructure components, including:

    • WebLogic

    • Tuxedo

    • Process Scheduler

    • Integration Broker

    • Application Messaging

  • Support PeopleSoft environments across Oracle UNIX, Windows, and Oracle-based infrastructure.

  • Apply tax updates using PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) and Change Assistant.

  • Install and configure PeopleTools components, including:

    • Integration Broker

    • Interaction Hub

    • Secure Enterprise Search (SES)

    • PeopleSoft Test Framework

  • Configure and manage Integration Broker components, including:

    • Gateways

    • Services

    • Service operations

    • Queues

    • Routings

    • Application messages

  • Install new PeopleSoft environments and refresh non-production environments.

  • Support internal and external system integrations.


Technical Support & System Administration

  • Manage security administration for enterprise HR systems and applications.

  • Provide support aligned with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Monitor system performance and maintain PeopleSoft environment services.

  • Troubleshoot development and production application issues across multiple environments and operating systems.

  • Assist with debugging and optimizing batch processing cycles.

  • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure system stability and reliability.


Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.


Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)

  • 5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator.

  • 5+ years of experience with PeopleTools 8.59 or higher, including technologies such as:

    • PeopleCode

    • Application Engine

    • Integration Broker

    • XML Publisher

    • SQR

    • Data Mover

    • Query

    • nVision Reports

    • PeopleSoft Test Framework

  • 5+ years of experience maintaining, monitoring, and supporting PeopleSoft infrastructure components.

  • 5+ years of experience applying tax updates using PUM and Change Assistant.

  • 5+ years of experience installing and configuring PeopleTools components.

  • 5+ years of experience installing PeopleSoft environments and refreshing non-production environments.

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting development and production issues across multiple environments and platforms.

  • 5+ years of experience administering Linux and Windows batch servers, including setup and maintenance.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing security administration for enterprise HR systems.

  • Experience monitoring and administering PeopleSoft environment performance and services.

  • Experience debugging and tuning batch cycles for performance improvements.
