What You'll Do:

As an Engineering Intern, you will provide general assistance to the engineering team on projects related to communications systems, including both active electronics and passive components. You will analyze real-time or near real-time production data, assist with design issues related to coaxial cable and accessories, and conduct research to support engineering design activities.

This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with radio frequency (RF) communications systems and the components that constitute them, providing practical, applicable knowledge for your senior-year design projects. You will work closely with the engineering staff, contributing to real-world problem solving while enhancing your understanding of wireless theory as it applies to communications system design.

Your work will support the engineering team's efforts, provide continuity within a small staff, and offer insight into the readiness and skills of entry level candidates entering the workforce.

What You'll Need:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in active electronics, passive components, and wireless communications systems
  • Basic engineering skills relevant to analysis, design, and research activities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Entering Senior year or higher

Compensation:
  • $22-$27 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background

Work Hours/Length of Program:
  • The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August
  • Temporary Part/Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week
  • Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business
  • This is a paid internship

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position is based in a general office and factory environment. Employees are required to follow safety guidelines, including wearing safety shoes and glasses when onsite.
  • Regular walking, standing, and some sitting for extended periods
  • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
  • Occasional lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and work safely around manufacturing equipment
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role
