Description SAIC seeks a Systems Engineer Associate to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Weapon Systems Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Systems Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development and delivery of UEWR radar hardware and software modifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports. This position is located on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Job Duties
Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software systems
Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents
Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK
Support Agile PI Planning events
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related degree such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
**Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance NOTE: Federal law requires ship to obtain a clearance
