ARSIEM is looking for an experienced
Senior Software Engineer to create custom analytics to perform at scale. The software engineer will work closely with data scientists and end users to develop innovative analytic tools to further discovery and tradecraft around critical global challenges, then deliver innovative solutions focused on operationalizing data science. This position will support one of our government clients in Fort Meade, MD.
Responsibilities- Work directly with data scientists as well as mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problems
- Perform end-to-end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer's corporate architecture
Minimum Qualifications- Strong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySpark
- Strong experience with statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals
- Strong experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and use of big data
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree plus 11-years of relevant experience or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with software development processes (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programming
- Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using Large Language Models (LLMs)
$191,000 - $214,000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph.
