Network Implementation Engineer

Dexian has immediate opportunities available to support critical global government enterprise networks as a Network Implementation Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will transform customer requirements into robust, secure network designs that power mission-critical operations. You'll take the lead in migrating connections to modern infrastructure with minimal disruption, provide expert technical support for fault isolation and resolution, and ensure compliance with stringent Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) security standards. As a key escalation point during enterprise outages, your innovative solutions and hands-on expertise will safeguard reliable, scalable network performance. Collaborate with specialists, streamline processes, and elevate our capabilities in an environment that challenges and rewards your dedication.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years combined experience in network engineering/design aligned with education level (e.g., Bachelor's + 6 years)

  • Demonstrated Tier III or higher network operations, design, and implementation experience

  • Proven production experience configuring Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper network hardware

  • Hands-on expertise implementing and troubleshooting OSPF and BGP routing protocols

  • Skilled in standard switching/trunking protocols, including VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channel configurations

  • Ability to develop fully documented designs: diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, and configurations

  • Experience coordinating maintenance windows to minimize network impact

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex enterprise-level network issues and coordinating cross-team incident resolutions

  • Experience developing secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs and enterprise policies

Desired Skills

  • Network engineering experience with CAN/LAN environments including applying industry standards and production-level integrations

  • Expertise with MPLS WANs, network management tools, and firewall technologies

  • Extensive practical knowledge of routing and switching protocols with ability to present via briefings and documentation

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional - Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIP-ENT) level proficiency

  • Proven self-starter with the discipline to work independently within a team

  • Experience establishing processes, creating documentation, and organizing technical repositories

Preferred Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

  • Comprehensive mix of education and hands-on experience totaling 10 years (e.g., Master's + 4 years, Doctorate + 3 years).

  • Compliance with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification, required.

This position requires an active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level with a Poly for consideration and to ensure continued employment.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to supervise (not manage) network support specialists effectively

  • Willingness to support on-call escalation processes for critical outages

  • Occasional travel may be required to support field operations and coordination
