Position Summary
The Technical Product Owner – Meter Data Services is responsible for end-to-end ownership of Meter Data Services products, delivering scalable data capabilities that support billing, customer experience, and operational processes across the Customer Portfolio.
This role combines technical product ownership with strong project/program management, vendor management, and financial management disciplines to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Meter Data Services product roadmap, backlog, and prioritization
- Lead end-to-end delivery across Plan / Build / Run lifecycle for data products and integrations
- Drive project/program management activities, including scope, schedule, risk, and dependency management
- Manage vendor relationships, including performance, deliverables, and accountability
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions
- Provide regular status reporting and governance updates to leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in technical product ownership, program management, or IT delivery leadership
- Strong project/program management skills with experience delivering complex initiatives
- Demonstrated vendor management experience (selection, oversight, and performance management)
- Experience managing financials (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)
- Experience working with data platforms, APIs, or integration services
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility industry experience (Meter-to-Cash, AMI, or Meter Data Services)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS) and data engineering pipelines
- Experience working in large, cross-functional enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Agile / product delivery models
Primary Job Functions / Accountabilities
- Deliver and operate Meter Data Services (CT43) including meter usage, interval, and event data products
- Ensure delivery of reliable, high-quality data to downstream systems (billing, customer channels, analytics)
- Maintain accountability for product performance, availability, and scalability
- Drive alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards

- Owns product delivery within Meter Data Services domain
- Supports multiple enterprise systems and critical customer/billing processes
- Direct impact on customer experience, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency
