Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, tech-savvy R&D Enterprise Tools Operations Specialist to join a global support team focused on driving productivity, efficiency, and collaboration across Research & Development organizations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical aptitude, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to support complex enterprise systems while identifying opportunities for automation and innovation.

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise business applications such as Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), or Project Management tools.
  • Knowledge of data structures, databases, automation, scripting, AI prompt engineering, and/or AI agent development.
  • Strong technical aptitude combined with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Preferred degrees in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with SAP, Cornerstone, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.

The Digital Innovation and Operational Services Chapter is a global R&D organization dedicated to improving internal operations by increasing productivity, efficiency, and collaboration across teams. The team focuses on simplifying systems, harmonizing tools and processes, and breaking down organizational silos to enable innovation.

Key Responsibilities
R&D Systems Support & Operations
  • Execute and fulfill R&D system requests while adhering to business system standards and compliance requirements.
  • Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused support for operational and system-related issues.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more complex R&D business applications.
  • Develop expertise in specialized R&D processes such as records management, laboratory data management, and change request workflows.
  • Leverage knowledge of business data and organizational structures to improve efficiency and maximize scientist productivity.
  • Build strong organizational understanding to anticipate customer needs and provide proactive support.
  • Maintain a high level of service excellence while collaborating with a diverse global team.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify manual processes and recommend opportunities for digitization and workflow optimization.
  • Develop or apply automation and AI-based solutions to reduce administrative workload.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
Compliance & Data Integrity
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulated R&D processes and organizational standards.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems and support audit readiness.
  • Assist with data retrieval, reporting, and documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, business, or related discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in operations, technical support, system administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications, systems, and business processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute complex tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to process compliance, quality, and customer service excellence.
