Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid)
- Provision required infrastructure in the target tenant/subscription using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Perform infrastructure support and maintenance: upgrades, patching, drift detection/remediation, and break/fix for IaC-managed resources.
- Implement secure-by-default patterns and required connectivity (private endpoints/VNET integration where needed) to support deployments.
- Enable Managed Identity and access patterns needed for runtime secret/config retrieval (Key Vault/App Configuration).
- Partner with client DevOps on platform requirements for golden paths (diagnostics settings, logging, tagging/cost allocation standards).
- Run intake, onboarding, and handoff activities: provide pipeline stubs where requested, ensure required repo policies are in place, and define done criteria for self-service operation.
- Assist product teams with onboarding to standardized pipelines and resolving integration issues (service connections, variable groups, Key Vault references, etc.).
- Manage exception process: document deviations, require compensating controls, set time-bound expirations, and review regularly.
- Support development, configuration, and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines in alignment with client YAML standards and reusable templates.
- Troubleshoot and remediate pipeline failures, deployment issues, and environment-specific configuration problems.
- Ensure adherence to client security, approval, release promotion, and auditability requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pipeline performance, reliability, and compliance with established DevOps guardrails.
