Overview:
Location: Albany, NY
Salary: $112,000 - $122,000

We are seeking a PeopleSoft Technical Lead Developer who will support our NYS client with application development efforts for a modernized retirement benefit administration platform; built on Oracle PeopleSoft.

This role will work closely with an in-house application development team to design, build, support, and troubleshoot technical solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong PeopleSoft development experience, technical leadership, and the ability to translate business needs into clear technical deliverables.

Duties:
  • Support and execute application development activities within an Oracle PeopleSoft environment
  • Collaborate with internal application development staff to design, build, test, and maintain technical solutions
  • Translate business requirements into design documents, test plans, and supporting technical documentation
  • Develop and support PeopleSoft application components using appropriate development tools and utilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across functional and technical teams
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and support to other application developers
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting development staff in a collaborative team environment
  • Manage technical resources and coordinate development efforts in a PeopleSoft environment
  • Contribute to implementation support and ongoing maintenance of a retirement benefit administration program

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education
  • 7+ years of experience in application development with PeopleSoft using at least 3 of the following toolsets: XML, SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, and Components Interface
  • 7+ years of experience using SQL
  • 4+ years of experience using PeopleTools 8.57 or higher
  • 5+ years of experience conceptualizing and transforming business requirements into design documents, test plans, and technical documentation
  • 4+ years of experience developing collaborative solutions and troubleshooting issues between functional and technical teams
  • 4+ years of experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or developed applications to other application developers
  • 4+ years of experience supporting the development of other application development staff
  • 4+ years of experience managing technical resources in a PeopleSoft environment
  • 5+ years of experience implementing or supporting an Oracle PeopleSoft retirement benefit administration program
