Role : Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator
Location: Charlotte, NC (3 Days onsite, 2 Days work from home) hybrid role.
Job Type: W2 contract

Note:

  • BOA experience first, followed by other banking/financial clients, then strong enterprise clients.
  • Prefer candidates with stable, long-term employment/contract history.

Please submit candidates with 8+ years of hands-on enterprise Linux administration, strong RHEL 8/9, OS patching/upgrades, Ansible, BladeLogic, and Bash/Shell scripting experience. Candidates with experience supporting large-scale 1000+ server environments, Hadoop/Cloudera, LVM/XFS, Linux builds/provisioning, and performance tuning are strongly preferred. Charlotte, NC local/hybrid candidates who can work onsite 3 days per week are preferred.

Job Descriptions:

The Enterprise Global Markets Data Platform continues to experience sustained and accelerating growth. In parallel, the security landscape is shifting like never before, and the need to ensure all patching and compliance is up to date is paramount. This role is essential to strengthen our ability to manage patching and compliance holistically, while ensuring alignment with approved policies and procedures. The position operates horizontally across the EDAP Global markets Data Platform, supporting multiple environments

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat Linux Administrator to support large-scale patching, upgrades, and operational management of a 1000+ server Hadoop ecosystem running on RHEL 8.x and 9.x.
  • The role requires strong automation skills, hands-on troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-availability enterprise environment
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments.

Strong expertise in:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x / 9.x
  • OS patching, upgrades, and system hardening
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting:
  • Ansible
  • BladeLogic
  • Bash / Shell scripting
  • Experience managing large-scale environments (1000+
  • servers preferred).
  • Strong experience with:
  • Linux builds and provisioning
  • Filesystem management (LVM, XFS, etc.)
  • Performance monitoring and tuning
  • Experience working in remote / distributed team environments.
  • Experience working on Big Data Technologies
  • Cloudera Admin / Dev Certification
  • Certification in Cloud, Docker-Container, OpenShift Technologies
