Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to provide leave coverage for a senior engineer on a high-impact project. This role requires an independent contributor who can drive mechanical design and system integration with minimal oversight.

You will join a team that develops precision mechanical systems for camera and sensor integration, working closely with electrical and software engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design and system integration for a major project.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings (Onshape preferred, NX acceptable).
• Perform FEA-based vibration and structural simulations (ANSYS experience beneficial).
• Apply GD&T principles and design for manufacturability (sheet metal, molding, 3D CAD).
• Innovate across product generations with creative design solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (strong fundamentals required).
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of mechanical engineering experience in product design.
• Technical Skills:
• CAD proficiency (Onshape strongly preferred).
• FEA and structural analysis knowledge.
• GD&T, sheet metal, molding, and manufacturability expertise.

Preferred Backgrounds: Automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics with hands-on design experience.
