Job DetailsSenior Software Developer - Microsoft Power Platform
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise business solutions built primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform. This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable applications, workflows, and integrations that improve business processes and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to develop innovative solutions while supporting platform governance, security, and operational standards. This individual will play a key role in driving automation, integration, and low-code application development initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Automation
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications and workflows utilizing:
o Microsoft Power Apps
o Power Automate
o Power Pages
o Microsoft Dataverse
o Related Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Develop and maintain integrations, automation scripts, and API-based solutions, including Python development.
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Develop reusable components, templates, and technical artifacts to support future development efforts.
- Participate in solution testing, peer reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
Platform Administration & Governance
- Provide backup administration and support for:
o Microsoft Power Platform
o SharePoint Online
o Microsoft Teams
o Microsoft 365 environments
- Monitor platform performance, usage, capacity, and security compliance.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and user experience.
- Ensure adherence to governance policies, security standards, and application lifecycle management (ALM) practices.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant solutions.
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, and support materials.
- Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technology roadmap discussions.
Operational & Emergency Support
- Support critical business operations and participate in emergency response and recovery efforts when required.
- Provide technical support during major operational events and outages, including extended work hours when necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; OR
- Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and professional experience.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development, application support, or enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience developing solutions using:
o Microsoft Power Apps
o Power Automate
o Power Pages
- Experience with Python development and scripting.
- Experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 platforms, including Power Platform and SharePoint Online.
- Experience building and supporting API integrations and automation solutions.
