Summary

We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead to design, implement, and manage enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery and IT Resilience programs. The ideal candidate will lead disaster recovery planning, testing, governance, and execution while collaborating with infrastructure, application, security, cloud, and business teams to ensure business continuity and compliance with organizational standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) program and maintain DR governance.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), recovery runbooks, and documentation.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO)/Recovery Point Objective (RPO) assessments.
  • Coordinate and lead DR testing, tabletop exercises, failover/failback activities, and recovery drills.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security, Database, Storage, and Application teams to ensure recovery readiness.
  • Monitor backup, replication, and recovery solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 22301, ITIL, COBIT, and organizational policies.
  • Identify risks and gaps in recovery capabilities and drive remediation efforts.
  • Produce executive reports, metrics, dashboards, and audit documentation.
  • Support incident response and major outage recovery activities when disaster recovery procedures are invoked.
  • Drive continuous improvement of disaster recovery strategies and processes.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years focused on Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT Resilience.
  • Strong experience with Disaster Recovery planning, execution, and governance.
  • Experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and defining RTO/RPO.
  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery technologies (Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, Rubrik, Cohesity, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage, databases, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
