Summary
Our are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead high-visibility, complex initiatives for a large-scale State Government project. This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to reside in California (Sacramento area preferred). While much of the work is remote, a hybrid schedule applies, Hybrid work, some on-site meetings may be required by client.
The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring all deliverables meet rigorous state and federal standards while staying on schedule and within budget.
Contract Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid (Must reside in CA; 1–2 monthly on-site visits as needed).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and formal close-out.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Direct cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program goals and contract requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, internal teams, and subcontractors.
Identify project risks and execute effective mitigation strategies.
Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and agency-specific standards.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, IT, Public Administration, etc.).
Certification: Active PMP certification is required.
State Experience: Minimum 5+ years of California State/Government project experience.
Project History: 6+ years in project/program management, with at least 5 years focused on SDLC projects.
Technical Familiarity: Direct experience working with Oracle systems.
Financial Scope: Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar, multi-year projects.
Tools: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and other management tools (Jira, Smartsheet).
Experience supporting law enforcement or justice-related state agencies.
Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific guidelines.
Agile or Scrum certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe).
