Job Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Lead requirements elicitation through interviews, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, document analysis, workflow analysis, surveys, use cases, and other discovery techniques.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Develop business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, use cases, software requirements specifications, wireframes, and mockups.
- Manage requirements throughout the SDLC, including validating requirements and supporting post-implementation enhancements.
- Utilize Jira and Modern Requirements to manage requirements, change requests, and project documentation.
- Facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior business analysts and promote business analysis best practices across project teams.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, organized, accurate, and aligned with established standards.
qualifications:
Qualifications
8+ years of experience gathering business requirements through stakeholder interviews and creating detailed system requirements.
8+ years of experience working within Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environments.
8+ years of experience with business process re-engineering and process improvement initiatives.
8+ years of experience writing user stories and use cases using business analysis best practices.
8+ years of experience creating wireframes and mockups aligned with UX best practices.
5+ years of demonstrated communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management experience.
5+ years of strong technical writing and documentation experience.
4+ years of experience supporting an education organization or public sector agency (preferred).
2+ years of hands-on experience using Atlassian Jira.
2+ years of experience using Modern Requirements.
