Role:SharePoint Business Analyst / SharePoint Project Manager
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Analyst who blends Business Analysis, Project Management, and technical SharePoint expertise. This individual will partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, design solutions, develop documentation, and drive end-to-end project execution within an Agile environment.
This is not a heads-down development role it s a strategic, client-facing position that requires strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate is experienced in building roadmaps, defining business functionality, creating process documentation, and delivering polished artifacts that guide decision-making and execution.
A strong portfolio showcasing use case stories, business requirement documentation, project artifacts, Gantt charts, workflows, diagrams, or mockups is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Document detailed Business Functional Requirements (BFRs), user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop use case stories, use case test scripts, and process maps.
- Translate business needs into structured, solution-ready documentation.
Project Management
- Build and manage project roadmaps, timelines, Gantt charts, stage-gate plans, and dependency maps.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, retrospectives, sprint planning).
- Track milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and on-time delivery.
SharePoint & Solution Execution
- Serve as the liaison between business teams and technical resources on SharePoint-related initiatives.
- Support site redesigns, workflow enhancements, content structuring, and permission governance.
- Assist in defining user-centric designs or prototypes to visualize functional needs.
Documentation & Presentation
- Deliver clear and professional documentation including business cases, testing plans, diagrams, and meeting notes.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop polished visuals and graphics that clearly articulate concepts, processes, and project progression.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid BA/PM
- Experience working in an Agile environmentwith user stories, sprints, and acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint (modern or classic) site structures, workflows, content management.
- Strong abilities in:
- Requirements gathering & documentation
- Process mapping / workflow modeling
- Test planning and UAT support
- Roadmaps, Gantt charts, stage-gates, and dependency tracking
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to create clean and impactful visual documentation.
- Solid organizational and analytical strengths.
Preferred Tools & Technical Skills
Experience with ANY of the following is a strong plus:
- Project Management Tools:MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com
- Diagramming / Design Tools:Figma, Lucidchart, Visio
- Documentation Tools:Confluence, SharePoint, Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- UML / UAT Artifacts:activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, user flow diagrams
- User-Centered Design methodologies
- Testing frameworks:UAT planning, test scripts, test logs
- Strong meeting facilitation and note-taking discipline
Portfolio Requirement (Highly Preferred)
Candidates who can provide examples of past work such as:
- Requirements documents
- Roadmaps
- Use case stories
- Diagrams (UML, workflows)
- Gantt charts
- Process maps
- SharePoint design wireframes
- PM dashboards or reporting artifacts
