About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ASIC Prototyping Engineer to support research and development efforts focused on building advanced ASIC prototypes. In this role, you will architect, implement, and validate complex ASIC designs on industry-standard FPGA-based prototyping platforms.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement ASIC prototyping solutions using industry-standard systems such as Synopsys HAPS.
Map ASIC RTL to both emulation and FPGA-based platforms.
Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for complex ASIC and FPGA designs.
Perform validation and qualification of ASIC and FPGA designs through simulation, hardware emulation, and laboratory bring-up.
Collaborate closely with system architects, RTL designers, verification engineers, and software developers to create accurate and efficient prototyping platforms.
Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and support to junior engineers.
Develop automation scripts to optimize implementation and testing workflows.
Produce detailed documentation covering prototyping architecture, implementation, and validation processes.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with ASIC prototyping or emulation platforms (e.g., Synopsys HAPS/Zebu, Cadence Palladium/Protium, Siemens Veloce/Strato).
Strong understanding of FPGA implementation flows.
Ability to develop detailed test plans for ASIC prototype validation.
Excellent hardware debugging and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of data streaming and packet-based protocols (e.g., Ethernet, UCIe, JESD204).
Experience developing automation scripts for implementation and testing flows.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience specifically with Synopsys HAPS platforms.
Experience supporting R&D environments or early-stage silicon development.
