About this roleCarrier is seeking a Site Reliability / Platform Engineer to support and evolve the Carrier BAS Cloud SaaS platform, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and compliance. This role blends deep hands-on cloud engineering, SRE principles, and DevOps automation, with a strong emphasis on SOC2-aligned operational rigor.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, operate, and continuously improve highly available cloud platforms
- Apply SRE principles including SLOs, error budgets, and incident response
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployments
- Implement secure identity and access patterns (IAM, IRSA, OIDC)
- Support SOC2 compliance, audits, and evidence collection
Required Qualifications: - 2+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineer, Mathematics or Information Systems
Or
- 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles and High School Diploma/ GED
Preferred Qualifications: - CI/CD, GitOps, AWS SSM, Terraform, Python, Bash
- AWS production experience
- SOC2 or regulated SaaS experience
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
