Job Title: Server System Validation Technician

Job Description:

The Server System Validation Technician will be responsible for configuring and validating server platforms in a lab environment.
The role involves developing and executing system validation test plans, supporting debugging activities, and ensuring server hardware and software operate reliably across operating systems and virtualization environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience with x86 server architecture, system testing, and automation tools used in validation and lab environments.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong understanding of x86 and server system architecture.
Experience working with operating systems and device drivers.
Knowledge of BIOS and ACPI configuration and functionality.
Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Ansible, or Jenkins.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

Minimum three years of relevant experience in server validation, system testing, or related technical roles.
Experience configuring and testing server hardware platforms.
Experience supporting lab debug activities and system troubleshooting.
Experience executing validation test plans for operating systems and virtualization environments.

Responsibilities:

Set up and configure x86 server platforms in a validation lab environment.
Develop and execute server system validation test plans.
Perform testing across operating systems, virtualization environments, and system stress applications.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot server operating systems.
Support debugging activities for hardware and software issues.
Collaborate with engineering and validation teams to identify and resolve system issues.
Document test results and validation outcomes.
Manage and prioritize assigned validation tasks and projects efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

Experience installing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, Xen, KVM, or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of virtualization features such as SR-IOV.
Experience with server automation and testing frameworks.

Skills:

Server system validation and testing.
x86 architecture and server platforms.
Operating system configuration and troubleshooting.
Virtualization technologies and environments.
Scripting and automation tools.

Qualification And Education:

Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent technical experience may be considered.
