Summary

We are seeking a Firmware Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer with strong experience in embedded systems and hardware/software integration. This role will focus on validating firmware functionality, ensuring system reliability, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform verification and validation (V&V) of embedded firmware systems
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation strategies
  • Conduct hardware/software integration testing
  • Debug issues at the system level using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.)
  • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems engineering teams
  • Support firmware bring-up, regression testing, and root cause analysis
  • Automate test cases using scripting languages where applicable
  • Document test results and provide clear reports to stakeholders

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in firmware or embedded systems testing / V&V
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture
  • Hands-on experience with C/C++ (reading/debugging code)
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Experience with test automation (Python or similar scripting language)
  • Familiarity with RTOS, device drivers, or low-level systems
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

⭐ Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive, medical devices, IoT, or semiconductor industries
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for testing
  • Exposure to Agile development environments
