We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for mission-critical software development initiatives in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Lifesciences space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in regulated environments such as those governed by ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other compliance frameworks relevant to life sciences.
You will serve as a key enabler in driving high-performance Agile teams, ensuring smooth delivery of software solutions across complex domains like clinical data management, risk adjustment, digital health platforms, regulatory reporting, and pharma manufacturing systems.
This role is part of an extended team model, working closely with cross-functional teams across global time zones, supporting delivery in Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, PowerShell, and CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, review, and retrospective ceremonies with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, BA, DevOps, UX).
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles and Scrum framework while adapting practices to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine the Product Backlog, ensure clarity of user stories, and maintain prioritization based on business value and regulatory urgency.
- Partner with Delivery Heads and Program Managers to track sprint progress, release timelines, and risk mitigation.
- Drive adoption of Agile metrics (velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time) and report on team health and delivery predictability.
- Support compliance readiness by maintaining traceability of requirements, test cases, and audit logs (especially for ISO 27001/27701 and data privacy).
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and promote Agile maturity across teams.
- Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams using Follow-the-Sun delivery model (where applicable), ensuring seamless handoffs and communication.
- Champion automation in testing and CI/CD pipelines (Selenium, Mabl, JMeter, Cypress, Jenkins, etc.) and integrate quality gates into sprint cycles.
