Core Role Expectations
The contractor should be able to work with Business Analysts, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to support and enhance Oracle E-Business Suite applications. The person must be able to understand business processes, participate in technical and functional design discussions, perform proof of concepts when needed, develop and deploy technical solutions, support testing activities, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve tickets within SLA timelines.
Required Oracle EBS Experience
The candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 or higher, preferably across multiple modules including:
- Order Management
- Warehouse Management
- Inventory
- Purchasing
- ASCP
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
They should have experience implementing, upgrading, supporting, enhancing, and troubleshooting Oracle Applications in an enterprise environment.
Required Technical Skills

- Oracle EBS R12 technical development
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Complex SQL development for data analysis, reporting, troubleshooting, and data mining
- Oracle Forms
- Oracle Reports
- XML Publisher / BI Publisher

- Oracle Application Framework / OAF
- Shell scripting
- XML, XSLT, and JSON formats
- Oracle Apex development and support
- Technical design, development, modification, and deployment of Oracle-based solutions
- Performance tuning, debugging, and root cause analysis
Integration and Middleware Experience
The candidate should have experience integrating Oracle EBS with upstream, downstream, and third-party systems. Experience with middleware and automation platforms is highly preferred, especially:
- Boomi
- Workato
- APIs and web services
- End-to-end integration design, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Data flow validation between Oracle EBS and external systems
Oracle Cloud / Fusion Experience
Experience with Oracle Cloud and Fusion modules is preferred, especially in the areas of configuration, customization, integration, APIs, web services, and custom extensions.
Delivery and Support Expectations
The contractor should be able to:
- Follow Helen of Troy SDLC practices
- Follow change control and configuration management standards
- Complete assigned development tasks on time
- Develop scalable, efficient, and supportable technical solutions
- Support System Integration Testing
- Troubleshoot application and integration issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
- Deploy technical components to production
- Resolve application tickets within SLA
- Support production maintenance and operational activities
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
- Work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Soft Skills and Working Style
The candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills. They should be able to work with functional business analysts, developers, offshore teams, project managers, and business users. We need someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work independently with minimal handholding.
The following skills are preferred and would be a plus:
- Java
- JSP
- Linux scripting
- Strong Oracle Application Framework experience
- Project delivery experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience contributing to moderate-size projects or phases of larger projects
- Experience working in global support and development environments
Minimum Qualification Expectation
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of Oracle EBS implementation, support, and development experience
- Minimum 5+ years of SQL and PL/SQL experience
