Job Title: Snowflake Administrator (Senior / Lead)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing the Snowflake environment, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of data operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Administer and manage Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles
· Monitor system performance, query optimization, and workload management
· Manage data storage, compute resources, and cost optimization strategies
Security & Access Control
· Implement and manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
· Configure secure data sharing, encryption, and masking policies
· Integrate Snowflake with Identity Providers (SSO, OAuth, MFA)
Performance Optimization
· Analyze query performance and optimize workloads
· Manage clustering, partitioning, and caching strategies
· Monitor usage patterns and tune warehouse sizes for efficiency
Data Integration & ETL Support
· Support data ingestion using tools like Informatica, Talend, or DBT
· Work with cloud storage (AWS S3 / Azure Blob / Google Cloud Platform Storage)
· Manage data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity
Automation & DevOps
· Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, or PowerShell
· Implement CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployments
· Manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
· Monitor system health, performance metrics, and usage
· Troubleshoot data load failures, query issues, and performance bottlenecks
· Implement alerting and logging frameworks
Governance & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with data security standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR)
· Maintain audit logs and data lineage
· Implement data governance policies and best practices
Collaboration
· Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business teams
· Support reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Snowflake administration
· Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and administration
· Experience with cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
· Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts
· Experience with ETL/ELT tools (DBT, Informatica, ADF, etc.)
· Knowledge of data modeling and performance tuning
