Job Overview:
As a Lead Software Engineer within Security Services, you will play a pivotal role in an agile team, enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be responsible for developing innovative software solutions, driving technical excellence, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Responsibilities:
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
  • Set up and manage Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate new technologies and methodologies.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in software development and AI integration, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
  • Lead technical designs and collaborate with geographically distributed analysts and developers.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Qualifications:
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding in one or more object-oriented languages, including Java 17+ with Spring Boot.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Experience building enterprise applications with high availability and performance using Java, Spring, Kafka, EKS, and Distributed Cache.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and building solutions on AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ELB, ECS, and EKS.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Keen interest in staying ahead of modern development trends and experimenting with emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
  • Hands-on experience with Microservices, Data usage patterns, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture and ability to capture and share best-practice knowledge across teams.
  • Ability to back decisions with research and articulate several options with pros and cons.
