We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. As a DBA, candidate be responsible for maintaining Oracle databases that supports mission critical databases in Terabytes. Required Skills:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT; Indiana Polis, IN; Richardson, TX; Raleigh, NC, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US. Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to U.S. persons as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees. At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
At least 3 years with Oracle database administration.
Monitor and maintain an Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition database, including development, test, training, pre-production, and production systems.
Establish database storage structures and modify the database as needed to meet evolving application demands.
Plan and execute major Oracle upgrades, coordinating with hosting and development teams to ensure a low-risk upgrade with minimal downtime.
Update design documentation to reflect new software or infrastructure information related to database, operating system, or data exchange with the customer s application.
Monitor database backup status, conduct database restore tests, and recommend changes as needed to the backup and restore plans.
Proactively monitor database storage and plan for growth as part of an overall capacity management strategy.
Help troubleshoot escalated data quality concerns, applying SQL queries and an understanding of the application workflows to identify potential data anomalies.
Work with business intelligence analysts to support data analysis efforts.
Install, manage and troubleshoot all Goldengate setup for oracle and non-oracle replication setup.
Manage dataguard and other oracle tools in scope.
