Official Title/Assigned Title:  PeopleSoft Application Developer -Financials

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote:  Remote

Direct Hire/Contract/Contract to hire: 6 Month Contract to hire

Travel required:  NA

Must have recent experience with insurance claim

Duties: The Peoplesoft developer will analyze, design, code, test and deploy software programs and applications within the IT Financials team. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will also analyze and amend software errors. 

Additional responsibilities include the following:

• Provide analysis and development of specifications and review prepared programming specifications
• Develop detailed system designs and review approved system designs with project team
• Develop application code and review code that requires modification
• Develop and coordinate technical implementation plan
• Develop Peoplesoft Financials and support the integration of the claims check printing project
• Unit test application code and assist with system testing
• Prepare and update all necessary documentation
• Perform implementation activities
• Provide production support including on-call rotation and technical assistance to end-user and IT staff
• Review schedules, objectives, and priorities with service manager
• Initiate suggestions for improvement to systems and procedures
• Assist with routine work of the department as required
• When hired directly will be required to participate in an on-call rotation to provide assigned project support and after hours support

Required Skills:

• Qualified candidates have earned an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or professional experience. 

• Must have 5+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft Development specifically Peoplesoft Financial modules-AP, GL, Claims Check printing, Purchasing but the most important is claims check printing
• Financials Reconciliation software experience (Accurate strongly preferred; Trintech or Frontier considered if SQL skills are exceptional)
• Expert-level SQL development experience, including creating and modifying: Stored procedures, SSIS Packages, SQL Server Agent jobs, & complex SQL and T‑SQL queries
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills focused on SQL code accuracy and data validation
• SSRS report development and maintenance
• Experience with object‑oriented concepts and design principles
• Application DBA experience, including: index tuning, performance troubleshooting, reviewing execution plans, testing & tuning SQl Logic, experience with resolving SQL related issues. 
• Full understanding of SQL Server security configuration, including SQL logins, permissions, roles, and linked servers
• Willingness to work across multiple technologies beyond PeopleSoft, including modern tools and AI-driven solutions

Preferred Skills/Characteristics:

• Experience with additional programming languages such as: .NET, Java, Python, Powershell
• Experience with automation and integration tools such as: Jenkins, Azure Document Intelligence
• Experience supporting multiple enterprise applications in parallel
• Openness to exploring and adopting new technologies such as UKG, Oracle Cloud or Workday in addition to AI-based automation or next evolution of systems. 
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of Phire for change management within Peoplesoft environment
• Experience working in the insurance domain
