Desktop Support TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a customer-focused
Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role will support end users with day-to-day IT issues, hardware deployments, workstation support, network connectivity troubleshooting, and technology-related projects.
The ideal candidate is energetic, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. This individual will interact directly with physicians, nurses, managers, and staff, providing a high level of technical support and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users via in-person visits, phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, thin client, workstation, and peripheral issues.
- Deploy, configure, upgrade, and support desktop computers and related hardware.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot multifunction printers and other end-user devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests within Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including IP conflicts, network drive mapping, and printer connectivity.
- Support workstation setups, moves, additions, and equipment replacements.
- Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Participate in technology deployment projects, hardware refreshes, workstation builds, and system cleanup initiatives.
- Document support activities, resolutions, and technical procedures accurately.
- Perform routine rounding and proactive support activities to ensure optimal user experience.
Required Qualifications- Experience providing desktop support, technical support, or end-user support services.
- Strong troubleshooting experience in Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, including user account and permission management.
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and workstation peripherals.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience mapping network drives and resolving printer connectivity issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting healthcare, clinical, or other highly customer-focused environments.
- Experience with desktop deployments, hardware refreshes, and workstation builds.
- Familiarity with patch panels and physical network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting thin clients and multifunction printers.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
