Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Utilities Project Manager with 13+ years of professional experience leading large-scale IT implementation, transformation, and modernization projects within the utilities industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Utilities applications, project delivery, stakeholder management, and end-to-end implementation of complex enterprise solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations. This role requires a senior-level professional who can work independently in a remote environment, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Oracle Utilities projects, including implementation, upgrades, integrations, enhancements, and system modernization initiatives.
- Manage project planning, scope definition, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables.
- Oversee Oracle Utilities implementations involving platforms such as Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M), Meter Data Management (MDM), and other relevant Oracle Utilities applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, solution architects, functional consultants, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), and executive-level presentations.
- Manage requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design coordination, system integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover planning, release management, and production readiness activities.
- Ensure effective integration between Oracle Utilities applications and related enterprise systems, including billing, customer information, metering, and financial platforms.
- Manage project teams across multiple locations and ensure accountability for timelines, quality, and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- 13+ years of overall professional experience in IT project management, program delivery, or enterprise technology implementations.
- Demonstrated experience managing Oracle Utilities projects within the utilities, energy, electric, gas, or water sectors.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Utilities applications and their implementation lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and system integrations.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience coordinating functional, technical, integration, testing, and deployment teams.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently in a remote work environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work on a W2 contract basis.
- Willingness to travel to the client site approximately once every three months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M), Meter Data Management (MDM), or related Oracle Utilities products.
- Oracle Utilities implementation, migration, upgrade, or modernization project experience.
- Familiarity with utility business processes, including customer service, billing, meter-to-cash, metering, and service operations.
- Experience with enterprise integrations, data migration, testing strategy, cutover planning, and go-live execution.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and senior-level client stakeholders.
