Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong Data Center Networking and Deployment experience to support large-scale network infrastructure deployments across Data Centers and Point of Presence (POP) locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network installation, troubleshooting, routing, switching, fiber optics, and Linux environments.

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience
  • 3+ years of Data Center Networking experience
  • Strong Network Support and Deployment background
  • Experience working in Data Center and POP environments

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support network infrastructure in Data Centers and POP sites.
  • Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, fiber, and optical equipment.
  • Perform rack and stack activities, cable routing, and hardware installations.
  • Create rack elevations, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and port mappings.
  • Support network turn-up activities and deployment projects.
  • Manage network assets and hardware lifecycle activities.
  • Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Support RMA processes and hardware replacements.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Knowledge of optical transport technologies
  • Experience working with service providers and colocation facilities
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, Shell)
  • CCNA, JNCIA, RHCT, or equivalent certifications
