Summary
Sr Human Resources Associate (Entry level)
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Sr Human Resources Associate for a contract position in Overland Park, KS. The opportunity will be for six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: This is a data entry-heavy role providing operational support across the organization. The position requires strong customer service and computer skills, focusing on benefits entry for Craft employees during open enrollment in PeopleSoft.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Support employees, contingent labor, retirees, and potential employees throughout the employment life cycle.
- Serve as the first point of contact for program administration needs across various business lines and global regions.
- Utilize HCM tools and vendor platforms for employee records maintenance, benefit enrollment administration, pre-employment screening reviews, employment verifications, LOA administration, and other functions as required.
- Provide front-line support for all HR inquiries, routing to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when necessary.
- Ensure data security and protect employee information, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI).
- Administer benefits programs and ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Update employee records in PeopleSoft HCM tool.
- Leverage process documentation and maintain updates as needed.
- Escalate system usage issues to HR Systems team and collaborate to determine solutions.
- Cross-train co-workers on shared duties.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and efficiency.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of company-provided benefits plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, analyze, research, evaluate, and resolve issues.
- Previous experience/training on HR Systems such as PeopleSoft, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Superior customer service skills.
- 1-2 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent training preferred.
