Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accessibility / Section 508 QA Tester to assess digital applications and services for accessibility, usability, and conformance with applicable accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities

·        Plan, design, and execute accessibility test scenarios for web applications, SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and digital services.

·        Evaluate applications against applicable accessibility requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG criteria.

·        Perform manual accessibility checks, including keyboard-only navigation, focus order and visibility, page structure, form labels, alternative text, color contrast, and error identification.

·        Use appropriate accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies, as applicable, to identify and reproduce accessibility issues.

·        Conduct functional, regression, user acceptance testing (UAT), and accessibility testing to support quality releases.

·        Document accessibility defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, impact, and supporting evidence.

·        Log, prioritize, and track defects through test-management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira; support API or integration validation using tools such as Postman where applicable.

·        Collaborate with business users, business analysts, developers, vendors, project managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

·        Work in Agile/Scrum delivery environments, participate in sprint ceremonies, and provide timely testing status and risk updates.

·        Retest fixes, validate remediation, and perform regression testing to confirm that resolved issues have not introduced new defects.

·        Communicate accessibility findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

·        At least 4 years of professional QA/software testing experience.

·        At least 2 years of hands-on accessibility testing experience.

·        In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and reporting.

·        Practical experience testing web applications, SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, or digital services.

·        Experience with accessibility evaluation and Section 508 / WCAG concepts and requirements.

·        Experience with functional, regression, UAT, and accessibility testing methods.

·        Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery environments.

·        Experience using test-management, defect-tracking, and testing tools such as Jira and Postman, or comparable tools.

·        Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

·        Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Trusted Tester certification.

·        IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).

·        IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification.

·        Other comparable accessibility, Section 508, or WCAG credentials.

·        Experience supporting accessibility remediation and advising development teams on accessible design and implementation practices.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility, or a related discipline.
