Job Description :
Monitoring & Operations
Production Health: Maintain production environment health by actively monitoring signals, acting as the primary line of defense for alerts, and escalating issues as appropriate.
Observability Tooling: Monitor alerts across critical services utilizing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Cost Optimization: Track cloud spends, surface financial anomalies, and flag optimization opportunities to ensure budget alignment.
Middleware Support: Monitor and operate core middleware services (PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka) and assist with root cause analysis on production incidents.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
IaC Execution: Execute and maintain Terraform scripts to provision, update, and manage cloud infrastructure.
Process Automation: Write and maintain robust shell scripts to automate routine, repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual toil.
Container Orchestration: Utilize Helm and ArgoCD to support application deployment and configuration within containerized environments.
Disaster Recovery
Runbook Development: Build, document, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) runbooks for critical services to ensure fast, confident incident recovery.
Validation: Regularly validate recovery procedures to keep runbooks accurate, current, and reliable.
Security & Governance
Access Control: Apply least-privilege Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and work within established Azure Policy and compliance guardrails.
Secrets Management: Manage day-to-day secrets operations utilizing Key Vault and managed identities.
Resource Governance: Enforce and follow strict tagging and governance standards across cloud subscriptions.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
Cloud Operations: Solid hands-on experience operating production infrastructure within an Azure environment.
Core Services: Working knowledge of core cloud services including networking, compute, storage, and resource governance.
Identity Management: Expert-level familiarity with identity and access management (Entra ID).
Foundational Skills: Solid Linux and networking fundamentals.
Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience provisioning and maintaining live infrastructure using Terraform.
Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities in Bash and Python for operational automation.
Monitoring Stack: Hands-on experience with telemetry and monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics / KQL, Application Insights, Cost Management, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Middleware: Experience operating and troubleshooting common middleware solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, or Kafka).
Governance: Familiarity with RBAC, Key Vault, and operating within enterprise governance guardrails.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant cloud certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer).
Proven experience writing, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery runbooks.
Experience managing multi-subscription cloud environments.
Exposure to FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
